Lenny & Ethan

L.A. TWISTER is director Sven Pape's satirical and accomplished first film, opening in theaters in Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago on August 27.

"It is the true story of anyone who ever dared to dream."

Lenny Mccoy (Zack Ward, the bully from "A Christmas Story") is a struggling actor that has been short-changed by the Hollywood machinery. Ethan (Tony Daly), an artist, has marriage troubles and decides to move in with his old pal. As the haze lifts, they decide that making their own film will solve all their problems. But Hollywood has a different plan and a claim to fame turns into a test of integrity and friendship.

With an outstanding ensemble cast, including Jennifer Aspen (TV: Party of Five, Rodney), Golden Globe winner Susan Blakely and Colleen Camp (Police Academy), L.A. TWISTER is authentic, unorthodox and inspiring.

The San Francisco Chronicle writes "... L.A. Twister is to be admired. Pape constructs a plot that doesn't follow a conventional path... the best reason to watch the movie is Ward. The red-haired character actor has grown up in the 21 years since he played the bully in "A Christmas Story," but he still nails any scene that involved mischief-making --"
